Sealcoating

This popular service makes a parking lot look nearly new, and provides a superb amount of protection from the elements. We apply a layer of sealant to the asphalt paving that will protect against moisture entering the surface. Without sealcoating, asphalt can be very porous, and this can lead to water from rainfall or snowmelt entering into the layers asphalt. When the water freezes, it expands, which often causes cracking. This cracking will intensify as time goes on, which can then open up the asphalt to further physical damage from daily traffic. Sealcoating is the most effective method of preventing this damage from occurring.

Asphalt Milling

There are many great applications for milling asphalt, but usually, we perform this task as part of a larger project. Larger asphalt repairs, like pothole patching or major resurfacing, are two situations that might call for asphalt milling. When the area is too large for a sealing mix, the paving often needs to be replaced with a new asphalt mixture. Milling will remove the affected area to a predetermined depth, which allows us to pour a fresh mix onto the surface and compact it once again. The great thing is that after milling, the new top layer looks brand new.
